In a world marked by rapid technological, social, and cultural shifts, the role of English language teachers is evolving beyond traditional instruction. Today, educators are called to be not only facilitators of language acquisition but also agents of transformation—both in their professional development and in the lives of their students. Embracing change is essential to adapt to fast-moving educational landscapes.
This convention seeks to explore the multifaceted nature of transformation in English Language Teaching (ELT), emphasizing adaptability, innovation, and human connection. As artificial intelligence reshapes educational practices, and global challenges demand resilience and empathy, teachers must navigate uncertainty with confidence and creativity.
To illustrate this spirit, we have chosen an ancient symbol of resilience: the phoenix. In the face of change, teachers rise like a phoenix—renewed, resilient, and ready to ignite learning. Even as the phoenix burns, a single feather remains—glowing with memory, ready to spark the next flight. This metaphor reflects continuity and change, inviting us to consider the value of tradition alongside renewal. In every ending, a new beginning awaits. Transformation is not only inevitable—it is a source of strength, hope, and inspiration.
By fostering reflective practice, embracing technological advancements, and prioritizing well-being, educators can create inclusive, dynamic learning environments that empower both students and teachers. This event invites participants to engage in dialogue, share research, and co-construct knowledge that supports transformative teaching and learning in the 21st century.
